If you’re looking for new doors to brighten up your cottage or barn conversation, this Solid Pine Bead & Butt Stable door could be the perfect option for you, bringing the classic characteristics of a stable door, without the weight, which can be considered cumbersome by some people. Pine is a great alternative for anyone that fancies a more affordable option in the stable door collection, these interior doors are also perfect if you intend to paint or varnish them. Featuring ledges at the very top and bottom of each half of the stable door, this pine door is a great choice for those that love the look of a stable door, but prefer a more lightweight alternative. This variation of our ledged pine stable door boasts a bead and butt profile, providing a tiny bit of extra detail to what is a relatively simple internal door. The bead and butt profile is on both sides of the door, unlike some other doors with this feature, which only offer it on one side.
Constructed from the highest quality Scandinavian redwood pine, this cottage door shows the best of this timber with an intricate grain pattern and a spattering of small knots, bringing a bit of character to the door. The ledges on this stable door are fixed in place with finger joints, then glued in place, pinned and hydraulically pressed onto the pine, to secure it in place and ensure that they remain strong throughout their life. These pine stable doors do not come with the relevant hardware included, but we do offer all the necessary fixings in our door hardware section. The pine used is sourced from sustainable forest in Northern Scandinavia, ensuring that it is picked responsibly wastage is minimised in construction, so you know you have selected a product from an environmentally conscious supplier.
Maintenance
Storage - Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. For more detailed information on how to treat you newly delivered doors click here.
Installation
This engineered door must be fitted with a minimum of 3 hinges. This is due to the weight of the product, which can be attributed to the high grade materials used in the construction of the door. Choosing to ignore this requirement will void your warranty.
Delivery Information
As it is a priority to ensure that our products are delivered to you in perfect condition, we only work with reliable delivery companies who have outstanding reputations. At the checkout stage, the most economical available delivery option will be automatically applied to your basket, allowing you to spend where it matters.
Standard Delivery Rates
Doors - £40.00*(this is per order, not per door)
*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for timber-only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery lead time.
Standard Deliveries - you will receive a notification from your designated courier prior to delivery. Please note, we cannot currently offer express delivery on orders of timber only.
If you have selected additional options for your items such as pre-finishing, please allow up to an additional 10-15 working days for delivery. This will be based on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time..
All delivery times are based on orders being placed before 9am and the lead times are from when your order has been dispatched, not placed.
Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.
We do not recommend booking any tradesmen until you have received your delivery, as a precaution that any delivery issues may arise.
In the unusual event that your package arrives showing signs of damage, we strongly suggest that you inspect your delivery while the driver is still present, if a fault is to be found request that the driver reports this and sign for the parcel as damaged. It is also recommended that you take photographs of the damaged area along with a detailed description.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check for any damages and report them to us within a 24-hour period.
