Product Information
Fitting this solid oak pair maker is a fast and effective way of turning two separate doors into a pair. Using a pair of doors is a fantastic method for turning a larger doorway into a functional feature and our pair maker is an essential addition to complete the look and create a smooth finish with plenty of character.
The larger doorway with a pair of doors is a particularly popular feature within barn conversions and character properties but it is also a great way to give an urban property a hint of rural charm. The pair maker offers a way to connect the doors and hide the gap which would be present between them. It also has the added benefit of preventing any light from passing through the gap between the internal doors and into the room.
This solid oak pair maker is designed specifically to be used with internal doors and is supplied pre-sanded and unfinished. This provides you with the opportunity to treat the pair maker in a finish of your choice. We highly recommend treating it at the same time as your internal doors to ensure that you get a consistent finish.
Please Note:The Pairmaker is suitable for 35mm thick doors and will add 10mm width to the attached door.
Maintenance
Storage - Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. For more detailed information on how to treat you newly delivered doors click here.
Delivery Information
As it is a priority to ensure that our products are delivered to you in perfect condition, we only work with reliable delivery companies who have outstanding reputations. At the checkout stage, the most economical available delivery option will be automatically applied to your basket, allowing you to spend where it matters.
Standard Delivery Rates
Skirting, Architraves, Linings and Window boards - £25.00
*We apply a shipping surcharge of £25.00 to certain postcodes for timber-only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery lead time.
Standard Deliveries - you will receive a notification from your designated courier prior to delivery. Please note, we cannot currently offer express delivery on orders of timber only.
If you have selected additional options for your items such as pre-finishing, please allow up to an additional 10-15 working days for delivery. This will be based on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time.
All delivery times are based on orders being placed before 9am and the lead times are from when your order has been dispatched, not placed.
Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.
We do not recommend booking any tradesmen until you have received your delivery, as a precaution that any delivery issues may arise.
In the unusual event that your package arrives showing signs of damage, we strongly suggest that you inspect your delivery while the driver is still present, if a fault is to be found request that the driver reports this and sign for the parcel as damaged. It is also recommended that you take photographs of the damaged area along with a detailed description.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check for any damages and report them to us within a 24-hour period.
