Product Information

This Montpellier White Primed Internal Door is an incredible take on the classic 3 panel door design. Instead of featuring three separate panels, the 3 panels in this white internal actually seem to overlap one another. Featuring two large raised rectangle panels with a curved edge in the centre of the door, finished with a unique circular raised panel in the centre. The circular panel in the middle has another circular panel within itself, continuing to enhance this unique design even further. Whilst you may never have seen a design like this, it certainly makes a great first impression! As this door is white primed, it requires a final coating on top to protect the door in the future. You could stick to the white, or you could go off-piste and pick a slightly more daring colour, to create an even more unique look.

These white primed doors are produced from FSC certified timber, ensuring that your product is made with sustainably sourced materials, without compromising on quality. Available in 3 standard sizes and 3 fire door sizes, you will be able to mix and match throughout the home or office. These 3 door sizes are some of the most popular internal door sizes, so we’re sure that most people will be able to find the size they need. Another amazing bonus of this door is the 10 year manufacturer’s guarantee that comes with the purchase, ensuring that your door is protected for years to come against any manufacturing faults that may occur.

Maintenance

Wooden Product Finishing

Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished (unless a pre-finished door has been ordered). As wood is a natural product, sanding and treating maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. If you have not ordered a pre-finished/treated door then we recommend that quality hardwax oils such as TreatexOsmo, or Sikkens Polyurethane Varnish are used to seal and protect the goods and to validate your warranty.

For doors to acclimatise, they should be left in the house prior to installation for at least seven days with the ambient temperature gradually increased over this period.

All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.

Applying a stain prior to treating is known to highlight the areas where glue may have spread to the face of the door during manufacturing, particulary where veneers meet. This cannot be claimed for under warranty. A clear, hardwax oil is what should be used.

Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.

If you're wanting to paint an unfinished oak veneer door, ideally a White Primed Door should be purchased instead. However, if you do decide to paint an unfinished oak veneer door then to comply with the door's warranty it must have an undercoat/primer and top coat which is solvent based, not water based.

Storage - Flat and Dry Only

As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. For more detailed information on how to treat you newly delivered doors click here.

Installation
This engineered door must be fitted with a minimum of 3 hinges. This is due to the weight of the product, which can be attributed to the high grade materials used in the construction of the door. Choosing to ignore this requirement will void your warranty.
