Product Information
To complete our range of Ely Oak Veneer internal doors, we also have the side light version in a fire door with a single panel of clear fire rated glass. The British building regulation 45mm depth of this internal fire door and the FD30 fire rating give you up to 30 minutes to vacate your property whilst the fire door holds back any smoke and flames in the event of a fire.
The straight lines of the Ely style with a side glass panel have the contemporary look that would be suited to a modern property.
The Ely Prefinished Oak 1SL Glazed FD30 rated fire door is available in four widths with a standard height of 1981mm and two widths in the metric height of 2040mm. With this variety of sizes, you are sure to get the perfect fit, especially when coupled with the generous 15mm trimming allowance of all of the edges.
Manufactured to the highest quality using FSC certified North American White oak veneer that has been crown cut to show the natural grain, this door has a stunning satin finish and a single column of clear fire-rated toughened glass that lets light flood into your home.
The 10 year manufacturer's warranty comes as standard with all the Deanta doors in the range giving you the peace of mind that this door will not only serve its purpose as an internal fire door but look beautiful in your home for years to come.
Prefinished - what does that mean? It means that you can hang the door as soon as you get it and would not need any additional oiling unless you had trimmed the edges to make it fit perfectly.
The finishing of this door has been done during the manufacturing process so you don't need to waste hours of your time oiling and waiting for it to dry. We would recommend that if you do trim the door, you seal the edges before hanging the door with one of our hard wax oils to maintain your warranty coverage.
We also supply fire door frames and intumescent strips to give you the maximum protection in the event of a fire.
Maintenance
Oak Veneer Prefinished Maintenance
Storage - Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. For more detailed information on how to treat you newly delivered doors click here.
Installation
This engineered door must be fitted with a minimum of 3 hinges. This is due to the weight of the product, which can be attributed to the high grade materials used in the construction of the door. Choosing to ignore this requirement will void your warranty.
Delivery Information
As it is a priority to ensure that our products are delivered to you in perfect condition, we only work with reliable delivery companies who have outstanding reputations. At the checkout stage, the most economical available delivery option will be automatically applied to your basket, allowing you to spend where it matters.
Standard Delivery Rates
Doors - £40.00*(this is per order, not per door)
*We apply a shipping surcharge of £35.00 to certain postcodes for timber-only orders, which can also add an additional 5 working days to the delivery lead time, see our delivery lead time.
Standard Deliveries - you will receive a notification from your designated courier prior to delivery. Please note, we cannot currently offer express delivery on orders of timber only.
If you have selected additional options for your items such as pre-finishing, please allow up to an additional 10-15 working days for delivery. This will be based on the number of in-house oiling requests and the chosen finish which will affect the number of coats and required drying time..
All delivery times are based on orders being placed before 9am and the lead times are from when your order has been dispatched, not placed.
Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you can move your order to a secure location.
We do not recommend booking any tradesmen until you have received your delivery, as a precaution that any delivery issues may arise.
In the unusual event that your package arrives showing signs of damage, we strongly suggest that you inspect your delivery while the driver is still present, if a fault is to be found request that the driver reports this and sign for the parcel as damaged. It is also recommended that you take photographs of the damaged area along with a detailed description.
It is the customer’s responsibility to check for any damages and report them to us within a 24-hour period.
