This quick drying treatment has a fantastic reputation and will completely revamp their appearance too. New doors are a great way to update your home, finishing them in this Treatex oil will ensure that they remain tinted for many years to come. Remember to apply a hardwax oil to protect them!
Suitable for all types of internal joinery such as flooring, worktops, stairs, doors and furniture (We have this on our own worktop and cannot recommend it enough)

Application
Apply with a brush or lint free rag
Ready to use - you don't need to thin it, simply stir it well.
Apply the first coat thinly, thoroughly and evenly along the wood grain, removing any surplus immediately. Allow this coat to dry for at least 8-10 hours ensuring good ventilation. After applying the first coat if you do not achieve the desired finish you're after, we recommend applying a second coat ensuring the first coat is completely dry.
Next, apply two coats of Treatex Clear Matt using the same method as you used before. Again allow 8-10 hours for drying and ventilate between each layer.
When the door is thoroughly dry, you may buff or polish by hand or with a machine to enhance the sheen.
Usage

This clear oil allows you to retain the existing finish of your solid oak internal doors. It is easy to apply, water-repellent and extremely durable. We recommend that our customers use this on their internal solid oak doors, to seal and protect the product, whilst also applying a stylish matt finish to your doors. The wax is not for exclusive use on doors, you can use this on other timber products such as flooring and furniture!
In a busy home environment it's important to make sure that your wooden doors are protected and won't be stained by drinks spillages or mucky hands. Osmo Polyx is a wax based product which means liquids will not penetrate the wood causing lasting damage.
Application
Oswax is ready to use - you don't need to thin it, simply stir it well.

This oil is easy to apply and will absorb into the wood grain, enhancing it and giving an overall elegant satin finish, in only a matter of hours.
This fast-drying oil is water resisitant, as well as many other household liquids, so any spills will not impact your woodwork, when treated correctly.
Each litre tin will cover approx. 8 square metres with two coats and any areas where the finish is looking patchy can be simply re-coated to cover those areas. The ingredients in this product are European Pharmascopoeia compliant, ensuring that they are benzene free and contain only de-aromatised white spirit. This means they are child-safe and also resistant to saliva, so you can apply this oil to wooden children's toys without any worry.
