Our Charity Involvement: The Nuneaton & Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary
We are proud to be supporting the Nuneaton & Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, an organisation which rescues and cares for sick, injured and abandoned birds and animals. The sanctuary provides both a safe environment and the necessary medical attention to prepare the animals for release back into the wild.
Since opening in 2001, the sanctuary has cared for more than 6500 birds and a further 4250 animals. With no funding available, founder Geoff relies on the support of volunteers as well as charitable donations from individuals and local businesses such as ourselves.
It costs in excess of £500 per week to keep the sanctuary open, but with nobody else to care for the animals, Geoff and his team of volunteers work tirelessly to fundraise and also maintain the sanctuary.
In addition to regular visits to the sanctuary to offer a helping hand, we also provide support in the form of much needed items such as food and bedding. The sanctuary is in constant need of certain items, many of which can be found on their Amazon wish list which can be viewed here.
