Our Cambridge door is extremely popular due to its simple styling and diversity when it comes to the type of interiors it can be used within. We are often asked about glazed versions of our doors as customers want to achieve a consistent look within their home and also provide a room with additional natural light. Our Cambridge obscure glazed internal door works perfectly alongside its non-glazed counterpart and allows for such a consistent look but with the additional benefit of a brighter room which feels more spacious.

As well as increasing the amount of light which can pass between the two rooms, the obscure glazed panel does not compromise on privacy. The Cambridge is supplied unfinished and provides you with the chance to treat your door to complement your home interior or to create a contrast if you prefer.

Like all of our doors, the Cambridge has been manufactured using high quality materials which provide fantastic strength and long lasting durability. The door will also maintain its beautiful appearance and natural wood grain look for years to come.

In most instances delivery will be made on a weekday. Couriers may however choose to delivery at the weekend during a busy period. As a result of this we are not able to offer a weekend delivery service but this option may be available directly through your courier if they call to arrange a specific delivery time and date. Please note that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you are able to move your order to a secure location.

The stated delivery time is based on an order which is placed before 1:30pm.

Due to the time taken for in-house finishing and the possibility of delivery issues in rare cases, we highly recommend waiting to book tradesmen until your order has been delivered.

Many of our orders are delivered on a pallet. It is the driver's discretion whether they take the pallet away with them following delivery. We are unable to collect any pallets after delivery has taken place. We highly recommend using the pallet to support your doors until they are ready to be hung.

Maintenance
Storage - Flat and Dry Only

As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. For more detailed information on how to treat you newly delivered doors click here.

Wooden Product Finishing

Engineered products (doors and selected skirting and architrave) are simple to finish, as they are machine finished it is unlikely that any further finishing will be required prior to applying your choice of oil or lacquer. As much as modern glues are very strong and resilient we do recommend that you always try a test patch first to ensure you have the right colour. Once your chosen finish has been applied generally very little maintenance is required, it is always advisable to cover any scratches that may be picked up over the years, luckily if you have used a hardwax oil this is a very simple process of re applying the finish with a cloth to the affected area, it is very simple. Our chosen treatments are Treatex and Osmo, both of which provide a beautiful finish and excellent protection.

All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.

Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.
