Introducing the brand new, uber stylish range of doors from Deanta; The Urban Collection! This collection brings a modern quality to your home, whether your decor is set up to match this style or not. Inspired by urban London style and modern design, the Brixton black internal door presents an asymmetrical profile and accentuated bold lines. Featuring a slim and elongated vertical panel in line with where the door will be hinged, parallel to four vertically stacked square panels, this modern black door is sure to be a stand out component in your home. All five panels on this black interior door are inset and surrounded by a square edged rail with a 2mm chamfer to add a little extra detail.

Available in two glazed variations as well as options for bespoke sizing, this range of dark interior doors are the ideal choice for anyone looking to bring a bit of luxury design into their home. The Brixton comes available with a reasonable 3mm trim allowance from the width and height of the door, so you can make any small adjustments necessary for your black french door opening. The door features a solid softwood core, making it feel extremely lightweight yet solid.

Your new black internal door will arrive prefinished in a durable black finish, so the door is ready to hang once you receive it, making the process as easy as possible. The Brixton collection also comes complete with an extremely generous and handy 10 year manufacturer’s warranty, to cover you against any major issues with the product. For more information on this, feel free to contact our helpful customer service team who will be happy to help.

Due to the slim railings used on the sides of these doors, we advise that only the Urban Collection hardware should be used as they are specifically designed for this range of internal doors.

Maintenance
Storage - Flat and Dry Only

As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. For more detailed information on how to treat you newly delivered doors click here.

Wooden Product Finishing

Our products are supplied fit for purpose and unfinished (unless a pre-finished door has been ordered). As oak is a natural product, sanding and treating maybe required to achieve the perfect finish. If you have not ordered a pre-finished/treated door then we recommend that quality hardwax oils such as TreatexOsmo, or Sikkens Polyurethane Varnish are used to seal and protect the goods and to validate your warranty.

All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.

Applying a stain prior to treating is known to highlight the areas where glue may have spread to the face of the door during manufacturing, particulary where veneers meet. This cannot be claimed for under warranty. A clear, hardwax oil is what should be used.

Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.

If you're wanting to paint an unfinished oak veneer door, ideally a White Primed Door should be purchased instead. However, if you do decide to paint an unfinished oak veneer door then to comply with the door's warranty it must have an undercoat/primer and top coat which is solvent based, not water based.
