Product Information
Why Choose the Oak Cottage 4L Glazed Door?
This LPD 4 panel cottage door is the perfect choice for adding a charming country character to your home. Crafted from durable oak, this door features dowel construction with four clear double-glazed panels and six slim, vertical solid panels. This clear glass unit allows natural light to flood into your home while still providing you with adequate privacy.
Not only is this 4-panel oak cottage door stylish, but it also offers enhanced insulation benefits due to its multi-layer construction. The two layers of timber are separated with an insulated core which reduces heat loss and provides a greater level of soundproofing than traditional single-glazed doors. This makes the LPD cottage door an ideal choice for busy homes as it helps to keep noise levels down and keeps energy bills in check.
Protecting Your Newly Delivered Door
The 4 panelled cottage door by LPD is also easy to install - it fits into standard external door openings and comes unfinished that will require oiling for ultimate protection. We highly recommend using a trustworthy and reliable treatment such as Impranol or Osmo oils.
For those looking for an attractive way to add charm and character to their home, the 4 lights with clear double-glazed cottage exterior oak dowelled door is an excellent option.
Enhancing Your Door
Adding door furniture to an external door is a great way to add a fashionable flair to any entryway. From handles and hinges, to locks and knockers, there's something for any aesthetic preference. With plenty of materials to choose from your front door will become the envy of the neighbourhood with different textures and shapes of handles and hardware.
This eye-catching door provides beautiful visuals, making this LPD 4 panel cottage door the best possible choice for any outdoor entranceway!

Maintenance
External Wooden Product Finishing
When protecting external products, we highly recommend using a high quality treatment such as Impranol Oils. These fast drying oils offer an enhanced wood finish which is both quick and easy to achieve. Impranol Hardwax Oils are also extremely hardwearing and durable, they ensure that your doors can withstand external weather. What's more, Impranol oils can also be reapplied to scratches by treating the area using a cloth.
All of our doors must be treated before they are hung, not afterwards. It is vitally important not to miss areas where the door has been cut for hinges or any other door furniture as this would allow for moisture to get into the door and spread throughout it.
Modern oil finishes are extremely durable and hardwearing, they are very simple to apply and fast drying. Once your appropriate finish has been applied, generally very little maintenance is required. It is always advisable to cover any scratches that may occur over time. The benefit of using hardwax oil is that this is a very simple process of re-applying the finish to the affected area with a cloth.
Storage - Flat and Dry Only
As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. For more detailed information on how to treat you newly delivered doors click here.
