Love the theatrical style and design of the 1930's?

Then this door is the perfect match for your home! If you are lucky enough to own a 1930's style home, it is ideal to restore and maintain it with some thought to it original features and decor. During this period the homes interiors were heavily influenced by modernism and art deco, the once loved organically, flowing lines were replaced with geometric and angular shapes, the crisp clean lines offered a sharp, cool look of mechanized living utterly at odds with anything that came before.

The 1930's style door is true to character of this innovative period. The large flat rectangular panel to the top rests on a high mid rail and lies above three neat vertical panels. The streamlined, boxy shapes are a wonderful reflection of this period, furniture during this time was often constructed of satinwood, lacquered wood or depression glass, offering a high gloss finish, yet the use of oak in this door, offers a refreshing modern take on this fabulous design.

Please note that if you have chosen options such as pre-finishing, you will need to allow up to an additional four weeks for your items to be delivered. Our in-house finishing is performed carefully to ensure that your doors look stunning and will stay looking that way for years to come.

In most instances delivery will be made on a weekday. Couriers may however choose to delivery at the weekend during a busy period. As a result of this we are not able to offer a weekend delivery service but this option may be available directly through your courier if they call to arrange a specific delivery time and date. Please not that your delivery will be made to the kerbside. As such, please ensure you are able to move your order to a secure location.

The stated delivery time is based on an order which is placed before 1:30pm.

Due to the time taken for in-house finishing and the possibility of delivery issues in rare cases, we highly recommend waiting to book tradesmen until your order has been delivered.

Many of our orders are delivered on a pallet. It is the driver's discretion whether they take the pallet away with them following delivery. We are unable to collect any pallets after delivery has taken place. We highly recommend using the pallet to support your doors until they are ready to be hung.

Storage - Flat and Dry Only

As wood is a natural product it is important that it is stored correctly. We recommend that your new products are stored flat and in a dry area. We recommend that all packaging is kept on the products, or removed for inspection and then re applied for storage. Again as wood is a natural product it is susceptible to changes in each room's atmosphere and as such please be mindful of this and take care to avoid damp areas or newly plastered rooms etc. For more detailed information on how to treat you newly delivered doors click here.

Wooden Product Finishing

Engineered products (doors and selected skirting and architrave) are simple to finish, as they are machine finished it is unlikely that any further finishing will be required prior to applying your choice of oil or lacquer. As much as modern glues are very strong and resilient we do recommend that you always try a test patch first to ensure you have the right colour. Once your chosen finish has been applied generally very little maintenance is required, it is always advisable to cover any scratches that may be picked up over the years, luckily if you have used a hardwax oil this is a very simple process of re applying the finish with a cloth to the affected area, it is very simple. Our chosen treatments are Treatex and Osmo, both of which provide a beautiful finish and excellent protection.

Brilliant product and excellent service .
We recently ordered 2 of these doors and were very pleasantly surprised at how easy the online order went through , the doors arrived after only 3 days and looked so good that we decided not to paint them as had been our original intention . However , this left us with nothing else to do but to order another 4 doors for upstairs ( well you can't have doors that don't match ,can you ? ) The next order went through equally well and the doors arrived today . Definitely will recommend you .

Cant believe what great value these doors are.
They arrived yesterday and look great. Was looking to replace the pine doors I have but Oak is usually expensive, so I was happy to find these at such good value. Thank you.
